Cupcakes have become a huge phenomenon and I am ashamed to admit that I have experienced a fair share of them in the last few years! I am lucky enough to have two friends who work at Primrose Bakery, giving me the perfect excuse to pop in for a quick cupcake or two whilst catching up. My favourite has got to be lemon cupcake with lemon icing!
I recently read about model Lorraine Pascale who has started up her own cupcake business 'Ella's Bakehouse'. It seems models are not all about eating healthily and resisting temptation...
I then heard about graphic designer Lily Jones who not only finds time to co-run Swanfield Market with two of her friends, putting on bands and organising shows but she now has also taken up baking. 'Lily Vanilli' cakes have been featured in Lula magazine and on Dazed Digital and have earned her the job title 'rock n roll baker'!
Although cake baking has always been an art - I never expected them to be a form of graphic design. That's an even better excuse to go out and buy one - I always like to support the artists!
